Jalpaiguri, 01st December: Mohammad Imran, the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India and his secretary Zakir Ahmed arrived in Haldibari to inspect the border area including the Haldibari-Chilahati railway.
As per the information, the officials reached the border in a train trolley after inspecting the work of Haldibari railway station on Tuesday afternoon. A meeting with the officials of the two countries was also held.
The Commissioner’s wife Zakia Hasnad, BSF DIG (G) Rajiv Ranjan Sharma, and other officials were present during the meeting. The High Commissioner then left for Chilahati station by a special train. He will return to Haldibari in the afternoon.
